Robert Evers

Robert John "Bob" Evers, 71, of Idaho Falls, passed away on May 31, 2016, at his home. He was under the care of his family and One Source Hospice. He was born August 8, 1944, in Hanford, California to Ralph Arnold Evers, Sr. and Mildred Van Ravenhorst Evers. He grew up and attended schools in the area. Following graduation from high school, Bob served as an Airman in the U.S. Air Force. He also attended Modesto Junior College. On August 8, 1980, he married Betty Joann Walker in Modesto, California. They made their home in Modesto where Bob worked for the Modesto Fire Department for 33 years and served as a Captain and an Arson Investigator. Bob and Betty moved to Idaho Falls following his retirement. He was a member of the Watersprings Church. Bob enjoyed bowling, fishing, woodworking, and working in his shop. Survivors are: Wife: Betty Evers of Idaho Falls, ID Son: Bob Evers, Jr. of Modesto, CA Son: David Evers of Boise, ID Stepson: Randy Walker of Modesto, CA Stepson: Tim Walker of Modesto, CA Stepdaughter: Tamara Crespo of Modesto, CA Mother: Mildred Evers of Oakdale, CA Brother: Ralph Evers, Jr. of Coos Bay, OR 16 Grandchildren and 2 Great Grandchildren He was preceded in death by his father. Private family services will be held at a later date.
