ROBERT "BUCK" ECCHER PHOENIX, AZ -- Robert “Buck” Eccher, 52, of Blackfoot, died September 20, 2004, at Mayo Clinic Hospital in Phoenix, Arizona. He was born February 22, 1952, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to Elbert Eccher and Florence Cecilia Charboneau Eccher. The family moved to Sacramento, California, where he attended elementary school for two years. Then, moving to Idaho Falls, he attended A.H. Bush Elementary, O. E. Bell Jr. High, and graduated from Skyline High School. He received an Associates Degree from I.S.U. Technical College. He served as a Sergeant in the U. S. Army, where he received training and experience as a welder. He married Elaine Abbott. They were later divorced. He married Anne Pratt August 9, 1991, in Jackson, Wyoming. He was a first class welder at TAN, TRA, CFA, and Intech. He also welded cobalt capsules at TRA at the INEEL and was a member of the PACE Union. He was a member of the Catholic faith. He enjoyed going to movies, golfing, fishing, skiing, playing cards, test driving cars, and working on his classic cars. He was a handyman and loved working on his home and helping others. He especially loved spending time with his mother-in-law, Doris Pratt; his brother-in-laws, Gary, Neil and Dean Pratt; his children and grandchildren, Surviving are: Wife: Anne Eccher, Blackfoot, ID Son: Danny (Michelle) Eccher, Meridian, ID Son: Simon Eccher, Boise, ID Daughter: Talitha Eccher, Bellingham, WA Daughter: Angel (Justin) Thaw, Newton, KS Son: Mike Gallegos, Blackfoot, ID Brother: Ron (Fay) Eccher, Idaho Falls, ID 4 Grandchildren: Tason Gallegos, Chantell Jones, Toria Thaw, and Danny Eccher He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, September 25, 2004, at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge, Idaho Falls. The family will meet with friends for one hour prior to the services. Burial will be in Fielding Memorial Park. Military rites will be performed by the Bonneville County Veterans Team. The family suggests donation be made in memory of “Buck” to the American Liver Foundation, 1425 Pompton Avenue, Cedar Grove, NJ 07009.
