ROBERT R. DYSLIN
IDAHO FALLS, ID - Robert Randall Dyslin, 63, of Idaho Falls,
died September 16, 2003, at his home.
He was born March 6, 1940 at Fairmont, Minnesota to Robert
E. and Rose Marie Lade Dyslin.
Bob was active in many sports throughout his life. Prior
to his high school graduation, Bob set a Minnesota state record for the
440 on a cinder track. This accomplishment stood until the mid 1980's. Additional
athletic achievements include playing football at the University of Iowa
and being a part of the team that went to the Rose Bowl. In addition to
football, Bob was a gifted basketball player. He played basketball at Evansville
College with Jerry Sloane of the Utah Jazz.
Bob was also a decorated 20 year veteran of the United
States Army. He served two tours in Vietnam with the 1st Air Cavalry Division
where he was awarded three Bronze Stars.
Bob and Deborah married on August 4, 1973 in Kansas City,
Missouri. Following retirement from the Army, he entered the hospitality
business. He with his wife managed the Idaho Falls Shilo Inn for 8 1/2 years.
Survivors include his wife, Deborah; stepson, Christopher
(Tammy) Kieninger; sister, Sharon (Larry) Hoffman; brother, John Dyslin;
sister-in-law, Nita Dyslin and two grandchildren, Dallas Kieninger and Joseph
Robert Kieninger.

Graveside Military Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 20,
2003 at Fielding Memorial Park. Military rites will be performed by Bonneville
County Veterans Team. Arrangements are under the direction of Wood Funeral
Home (273 N. Ridge).
