DEVRIES IDAHO FALLS, ID: Robert Laverne Devries, 56, of Idaho Falls, died February 5, 2003, at the Portneuf Valley Hospital in Pocatello of injuries received in an automobile accident. He was born April 17, 1946 at Twin Falls, to Donald Devries and Virginia Harren Devries. He grew up and attended schools in the area. Following his graduation from high school, he attended Idaho State University. He served in the U. S. Navy during the Vietnam War. He married Kay Hoskins. He later married Lauralee Vossler on February 2, 1991 at Idaho Falls. He worked at INEEL as an engineer. Currently, he was self-employed as a construction worker and worked as a desk clerk at Super 8 Motel. He enjoyed participating in the Idaho Falls Hockey Program, fishing, and camping. Surviving are:Son: Harold Dean “HD” Devries, Portsmouth, VirginiaSon: Tim Devries, Littleton, COSon: Don Devries, IDDaughter: Danielle Devries, IDDaughter: Ashley Lynn Devries, Idaho Falls, IDStepson: Justin (Sarah) Allen, Lewisville, IDStepson: Robert Allen, Idaho Falls, IDStepdaughter: Brandy Lynn Allen, Cuthburt, GAMother: Virginia Devries, Idaho Falls, IDSister: Judy Brown, MO 15 Grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his father and a grandson, Bryant Lee Allen. Graveside services will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday, February 10, 2003, at the Iona Cemetery. The family will meet with friends from 1:00-1:45 p.m. at Wood East Side (963 S. Ammon Rd.).
