Robert "Bob" Clegg

Robert Williams Clegg, 77, of Idaho Falls, passed away on Monday, November 13, 2017, at West Point, Utah. He was under the care of Bristol Hospice. Bob was born October 5, 1940, in Preston, Idaho, to Owen Dale Clegg and Merna McGregor Clegg. He grew up and attended schools in Grace and graduated from Grace High School. He also attended Utah State, Weber State, and Idaho State University. In June 1960, he married Jeanene Sant. They had three children, Michelle, Kim and Dave. That marriage ended in divorce. In July 1976, he married Barbara George in Lewiston, Idaho. Shortly after their marriage, Bob adopted her sons, Nick and Bill. Bob and Barbara lived in various Idaho cities. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving as a High Priest and taught the deacons. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching football and watching all cop shows. Bob is survived by his wife, Barbara J. Clegg of Idaho Falls, ID; daughter, Michelle Clegg of Pocatello, ID; son, Nicholas Dean George (Kathleen) Clegg of Healy, AK; daughter, Kim (Rod) Sortor of Pocatello, ID; son, David (Francine) Clegg of Logandale, NV; son, William "Bill" (Jenae) Clegg of West Point, UT; sister, Ruth (Robert) Harris of Grace, ID; brother, O. Dean (Lezlie) Clegg of Smithfield, UT; sister, Beth Spotten of Spanish Fork, UT; sister, Leana (John D.) Walker of St. George, UT; brother, DeMar (Kim) Clegg of Grace, ID; 16 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Owen Dale Clegg and Merna Clegg. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, November 21, 2017, at Idaho Falls LDS 26th Ward, 2025 Jennie Lee, with Kim Smith officiating. The family will visit with friends Monday from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home, 273 North Ridge Avenue, and Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. prior to services. Burial will be in the Iona Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Bristol Hospice, 1638 N. Washington Blvd. Ste 102, Ogden, UT 84404.
