Robert “Bob” Wesley Jones, 51, of Ammon, left this life for a better place on October 2, 2015, after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
He was born August 10, 1964, in Idaho Falls, Idaho to Wesley D. Jones and Mae Larsen Jones. Bob grew up and went to school in Blackfoot where he graduated from Blackfoot High School.
He married Julie Moore in 1983 and they had a son, Nickalos “Nick”. They were later divorced although Julie remained close to the family.
Bob thoroughly loved the outdoors as well as life itself. He enjoyed snowmobiling, fishing, skiing, foosball, golfing, camping, and mainly just hanging out with family and friends. One of Bob's favorite places was in Island Park at his folks' cabin where he spent a good part of his life. Bob couldn’t wait until the 4th of July as he loved his fireworks He also enjoyed scratching lottery tickets.
Bob was a kind man who always found the good side of everyone and ignored their imperfections and faults. He could never say no to a friend. Friends and family will have many, many years of laughter and tears remembering Bob.
Bob was very close with his Mom and had a special place in her heart. She was always there for him. He stayed with his sister, Kristie, during his last days and she provided a place for him where friends could visit. He also held a special place in her heart.
His is survived by his parents, Wesley and Mae; his son, Nick (Jennifer) Jones; a sister, Kristie (Salvador) Jones Lopez; two grandchildren, Jocelyn and Jasper and one niece, Kadie Birch.
