Robert (Bob) Ballard

BOB BALLARD IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Robert Allen “Bob” Ballard, 63, of Idaho Falls, died August 16, 2007, at his home. Bob was born November 10, 1943, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Rex Ballard and Bulah Bradshaw Ballard. He grew up and attended schools in the area and obtained his GED through the Navy. He served in the U.S. Navy and had an honorable discharge as a Quartermaster Third Class. On October 3, 1964, he married Joyce Ann Leigh in Dubois, Idaho. Bob worked as a truck driver and a dispatcher for 27 years at Clayton’s, Inc., and in 2000 went to work for Edwards Brothers/Knight Transportation. He was a past president of Fraternal Order of Eagles. Bob enjoyed camping, jeeping, and especially loved spending time with his family and friends. Survivors include: Wife: Joyce Ballard, Idaho Falls, ID Daughter: RaeAnn (Scott) Humpherys, Idaho Falls, ID Son: Robert G. (Annette) Ballard, Victor, ID Grandson: David (Jennifer) Nelson, Idaho Falls, ID Granddaughter: Amanda Humpherys, Idaho Falls, ID Grandson: Adrian Ballard, Victor, ID Brother: Norm (Cyndi) Ballard, Grant, ID Sister: Velva (Kent) Misseldine, Idaho Falls, ID Sister: Sheila (Larry) Thatcher, Idaho Falls, ID He was preceded in death by his grandparents; parents; brother, Gary; and a niece, Trika. Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, August 18, 2007, at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge. The family will visit with friends for one hour prior to the services.
