Robert J Birch

Robert J Birch, 66, of Ririe, passed away August 24, 2022, at his home.

Bob was born March 27, 1956, in St. Anthony, Idaho, to Claud Birch and Joyce Chapple Birch. He grew up and attended schools in Rigby and earned his GED. He also attended EITC.

He was a police officer in the 1970s, worked at the INL in the 1980s to early 1990s, and then worked as a bar manager for the Stardust Lounge and Eagles Lodge. He was very skilled as a carpenter and craftsman. He loved to fix and make things at his home, and especially enjoyed teaching anyone a new skill. He loved NASCAR.

Bob is survived by his loving daughters, Kelsi (Marcus) Merrill, April (Steven Carhart) Corona, both of Idaho Falls, ID; sister, Tina Burt of St. Anthony, ID; mother, Joyce Chapple of Rigby, ID; and eight grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his son, Jeremy Birch; stepfather, Earl Chapple; sisters, Barba Sanchez and Linda Burt; and father, Claud Birch.

A Gathering will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Saturday, September 10, 2022, at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 S. Ammon Road.
