ROBERT BALLARD
SHELL LAKE, WI -- Robert Arthur Ballard, 70, of Shell Lake, Wisconsin, passed away October 26, 2008, at the VA Hospital in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
He was born July 26, 1938, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to George Arthur Ballard and Fontella Miller Ballard. He grew up and attended schools in Idaho Falls. He served in the U. S. Air Force during the Korean War.
On September 2, 1960, he married Nancy L. Pichette in Idaho Falls. They were later divorced. He was an iron worker and worked at Teamster Union Local #229.
He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was an Elder and enjoyed attending the temple. His hobbies included NASCAR racing and building motors. Robert enjoyed traveling to Idaho Falls to visit his parents.

Daughter: Brenda Johnson, Wisconsin
Daughter: Roberta Chambers, Idaho Falls, ID
7 Grandchildren & 3 Great Grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, and a sister.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, November 3, 2008, at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge. The family will visit with friends Sunday from 6 to 7:30 p.m. and Monday from 10 to 10:45 a.m., both at Wood Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Fielding Memorial Park with Military Rites performed by the Bonneville County Veterans Team and Idaho/Wisconsin Honor Guard.
