Robert Allen

Robert Alfred Allen, 83, of Idaho Falls, passed away March 10, 2018, at his home. He was under the care of his family and Encompass Hospice.

Bob was born June 21, 1934, in Worcester, Massachusetts to Edwin D. Allen and Margaret Daviau Allen. He grew up and attended schools in Worcester. He served in the U.S. Army as a Private First Class during the Korean War.

On October 16, 1963, he married Margery Akey in Massachusetts. To this union were born four children: Lynda, Kenneth, Jeff, April, and Audrey. He worked as a machinist in the foundery. Bob retired in 1982 and he and Margery moved to Idaho Falls.

In his younger years, Bob enjoyed camping and fishing. Most recently, he enjoyed Bingo and playing the slot machines at the casinos.

Bob is survived by his daughter, Lynda (Myles) Turner of Orange, CA; son, Kenneth (Stacy) Allen of Idaho Falls, ID; son, Jeff Allen of Idaho Falls, ID; daughter, April (Doug) Dinneen of Ammon, ID;and 11 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; a daughter, Audrey Adamson; and a granddaughter, Whitney Adamson.

Private family services will be held at a later date.
