OBITUARY INFORMATION
Rilla Archibald
Rilla Beth John Archibald, 84, of Ammon, passed away on Saturday, September 6, 2014, at Promontory Point.
She was born April 21, 1930, in Malad, Idaho to Noah James John and Esther Elmeda Hall John. She grew up in Portage, Utah and attended schools in the area, graduating from Bear River High School in Tremonton, Utah. She continued her education by attending LDS Business College in Salt Lake City where she received an Associate’s Degree.
On April 21, 1950, she married George R. Archibald in the Logan LDS Temple. In 1964, they moved to Idaho Falls where they have since resided. She was a devoted wife, mother, and homemaker. She also worked as a Keypunch Operator and Payroll Accountant.
Rilla was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in numerous callings including Temple Worker for 16 years, and missionary for one year at the Idaho Falls Visitor’s Center and two years in the London England South Mission. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, gardening, spending time at the cabin, and especially loved being with her family and friends.

Sister: Florene Charlotte Madsen
Brother: Denton Clane John
She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, Floyd John, Deward John, Sylvera John, and Loren John; and three sisters, Gwenne Paskett, Betty Rae Wilson, and Fayella John.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, September 12, 2014, at the Idaho Falls 31st Ward (1165 Azalea Drive) with Bishop Dennis Wahlquist officiating. The family will visit with friends on Thursday from 6:30-8 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home (273 N. Ridge) and on Friday from 12-12:45 p.m. prior to the services at the church.
Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.
