Rickie Teton Jones, 60, of Idaho Falls, passed away August 24, 2010 at the Veterans’ Administration Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah.
He was born July 5, 1950 in Idaho Falls, Idaho to William Richard Jones and Nellie May Foster Jones. He attended the Class of 1968 at Idaho Falls High School. Later he obtained his GED while serving in the Army. He served in the U.S. Army from April 1969 to 1971 and was stationed at Fort Benning, Georgia during the Vietnam Era.
In 1974, Rick started his 20+ year career as a service technician with AM International. He traveled most of the Western region of the United States repairing and servicing large corporate printing presses.
Rick enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting, and stock car racing. He collected all sorts of antiques from coins, old furniture, bottles, to whatever intrigued his interest at the time. He especially enjoyed “Do it yourself” projects at home, such as electronics and woodworking.
He was always willing to help out in a time of need no matter how big or small the task would be. He often enjoyed partaking in practical jokes on others. Family values played an important role in his life, which he kept close to his heart.

Daughter, Ridon Jones, Billings, Montana;
Daughter, Alicia Jones, Idaho Falls, Idaho;
Brother, William “JR” Jones of Shelley, Idaho;
Brother, Vincent Jones of Goshen, Idaho;
Brother, Jon Jones of Firth, Idaho;
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Genell, his father William, and a nephew, Joshua P. Jones.
Memorial Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, September 3, 2010 at Wood Funeral Home (273 N. Ridge Ave.). Burial will be 12 Noon Saturday at the Jones Ranch in Wolverine Canyon.
