Richard Scott Walker

Richard Walker, 40, passed away suddenly on August 8, 2020 in Idaho Falls, Idaho.

Ricky was a unique soul, a man who cared deeply about his family and friends. He was Uncle Bick, Bicky Bob, and due to a birthday joke that followed him forever, he was Princess. He liked his music loud enough to rattle the brain and he proudly sported a unicorn tattoo. His kids were his absolute treasure in life and he was always the first to dive in and play with them, laughing like a little kid himself.

Ricky always loved tinkering with machines. He worked as a mechanic, as a truck driver, and doing HVAC. He would work tirelessly on whatever needed to be done. He was a man who rarely didn’t have motor oil under his nails and constantly worked on his car, his motorcycle, or his beloved truck, the Brick.

After moving around in his childhood and early life, Ricky said he didn’t care where he was at as long as he had his family. In 2004, he married Jessi Nielsen (Donnelly) and they welcomed Lilian Jade into the world. Though they dissolved their marriage, they remained incredible friends who worked together to raise their daughter. In 2011, he married Abby Ross, and together they welcomed two more precious children into the world, Gabe and Julia (Jude). Ricky and Abby loved going on adventures, hiking, hanging out with friends, and getting dressed up fancy to spend a night on the town. Ricky was happiest at home snuggled with his kids, watching a silly cartoon or chatting with Lily about some random fact they both found interesting.

Ricky is preceded in death by his father, Richard; his grandmother, Judy; his Great-Granny, Happy; and is survived in death by countless friends and family who love him. His children, Lily, Gabe, and Jude; his wife, Abby (Ross) Walker; his mother, Tammie Wiscombe; step-mother, Laurie Walker; and his siblings: Jason, Tara, Nikkia, Searra, TJ, and Aspen; and eleven nieces and nephews. He had lifelong friendships that were so important to him and those friends will miss him dearly.

The family is hosting a Celebration of Life in Tautphaus Park on Tuesday, August 18th at 2 p.m., hosted by Danielle Westfall. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.
