Richard B. Snow - 09/27/2002 Richard B. Snow - 09/27/2002 RICHARD B. SNOW IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Richard Bowman Snow, 66, of Idaho Falls, died September 27, 2002, at his home from a heart attack. He was born March 10, 1936 in Overton, Nevada, to Grant Bleak Snow and Lydia Pearl Bowman Snow. He grew up in Delta, Utah, attending Delta Elementary and Delta High School, where he served as Student Body president in 1954, then served a two year mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to New Zealand. He graduated from Brigham Young University in 1961. He married Cheril James September 17, 1959 in Manti, Utah. Prior to living in Idaho Falls, they lived in Delta and Centerville, Utah, and California. As a lifetime volunteer for the Boy Scouts, he earned his Eagle Scout and Silver Beaver Awards. After marriage, he was an executive director in Boy Scouts of America from which he retired. He also started a catering business, “High Country Catering.” As an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, he served as High Councilman, Sunday School President and Boy Scout Leader. He enjoyed Dutch Oven cooking, camping, and spending time with his grandchildren. Jolly, Midway, UTDaughter: Richelle Snow (Jeff L.) Pearce, Kaysville, UTSon: Michael Richard (Kristin R.) Snow, Centerville, UTSon: Roger Williams (Heidi) Snow, Logan, UTSister: Glenda Estes, Bellevue, WASister: Marilyn Holt, Enterprise, UTand 8 Grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Joseph Grant Snow. Funeral Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 1, 2002, at the Idaho Falls LDS 16th Ward,9th and Boulevard, with Bishop Phil Roberts officiating. The family will visit with friends on Monday from 6-8 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home, 273 North Ridge, and for one hour prior to services at the church on Tuesday. Graveside Services and burial will be at the Centerville City Cemetery in Centerville, Utah on Wednesday, October 2nd, at 12 Noon, under the direction of Wood Funeral Home.
