RICHARD E. JONES IDAHO FALLS, ID - Richard Earl Jones, 73, of Idaho Falls, died June 25, 2004, at his home. He was under care of Hospice of Eastern Idaho. He was born June 11, 1931, in Hannibal, Missouri, to Everett Jones and Hazel Stroup Jones. He grew up in St. Louis, Missouri, graduating from Shenandoah High School in 1946. He lived in St. Louis until 1964, then moved to Phoenix. He worked in the banking industry for the 1st National Bank, First Interstate Bank, and finally ended his career as the President and CEO of the Bank of Paradise Valley. He retired from the Bank of Paradise Valley and did consulting for financial institutions. He moved to Idaho Falls in 1989 where he met and married Renee P. Sholder, January 31, 1991. He was a member of the Baptist Church. He enjoyed fishing, bowling, tennis, playing golf, and in his early years, he played minor league baseball. Surviving are: Wife: Renee Jones, Idaho Falls, ID Son: Dan Jones, Queen Creek, AZ Son: Scott Jones, Mesa, AZ Stepson: David Sholder, Idaho Falls Stepdaughter: Shana Weinkauff, Idaho Falls Stepdaughter: Kristy Mayab, Idaho Falls 12 Grandchildren, 1 Great Grandchild. He was preceded in death by his father and Mother, Stepfather, Jack Savens, a son, Rick Jones, and a sister, Virginia Shotz Memorial Services will be at 7:00 p.m. Monday, June 29, 2004, at Wood Chapel of the Pines, 273 North Ridge Avenue, with Rod Jensen officiating. Services will be in under the direction of Wood Funeral Home.
