Richard "Rick" Jacobs

OBITUARY INFORMATION Rick Jacobs Richard “Rick” Glen Jacobs, 60, of Idaho Falls, passed away on May 6, 2012, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. He was born March 10, 1952, in Salt Lake City, Utah to Jen Jacobs and Shirley Bounds Jacobs. He grew up and attended schools in the area, graduating from South High School. He continued his education by attending Salt Lake Community College and became a certified machinist. On July 31, 1992, he married Cherene “Sherry” Keifer in Amarillo, Texas. They lived in Salt Lake City where he was a cement driver. In 1999, they moved to Idaho Falls. Rick enjoyed working with computers, fishing, camping, and being with his family. He loved all animals and with his wife, fostered for the Humane Society of the Upper Valley. Survivors are: Wife: Cherene Jacobs, Idaho Falls, ID Son: Jen Richard Jacobs, Salt Lake City, UT Son: Chad (Sarah) Jacobsen, Cripple Creek, CO Son: Jeremy Jacobs, Salt Lake City, UT Daughter: Tanya Jacobs, Salt Lake City, UT Mother: Shirley (Jess) Ramsley Brother: Randy Lloyd, Salt Lake City, UT Brother: Steve Hickok, West Valley, UT Sisters: Robin Spiers, Rochelle Lloyd, and Roxanne Olsen 7 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father; a sister, Ranae Lloyd; his grandparents; and a granddaughter, Raine. A Celebration of Rick's life will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 12, 2012, at Trinity United Methodist Church (237 N. Water Ave.) with Reverend Brenda Sene, officiating. In honor of Rick, please wear jeans and T-shirts as this was Rick's casual lifestyle and he would want everyone to go about their weekend activities without further interruption.
