Richard Hilder

Richard Kent Hilder, 74, of Idaho Falls, passed away January 30, 2011 at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. Richard was born September 26, 1936 in San Francisco, California, to Charles Theodore Hilder and Laverna Greene Webster Hilder. He served in the Navy during the Korean War. He married Jane Harris on October 21, 1962. Their marriage was solemnized on August 27, 1974 in the Oakland, California LDS Temple. He resided in San Lorenzo, California for 40 years where he worked as a meat cutter. He moved to Idaho Falls in 2004. Richard was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He enjoyed fishing, cooking, singing and gardening. He enjoyed the company of his pets. Survivors include: Wife: Jane Hilder, Idaho Falls, ID Daughter: Tamara Hoggs, San Lorenzo, CA Son: Rick (Karen) Hilder, Rexburg, ID Son: Troy Hilder, St. Anthony, ID Daughter: Candy Hilder, Hayward, CA Daughter: Deborah (Joseph) Gutierrez, Rigby, ID Son: Todd (Kim) Hilder, Shelley, ID Brother: Frank Hilder, Santa Rosa, CA 19 Grandchildren He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Charles Hilder Jr.; and son-in-law, Thomas Hoggs. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 5, 2011 at the Ammon West Stake Center, 2055 Coronado with Bishop Bryant Hafen of the Idaho Falls LDS Woodruff 3rd Ward officiating. The family will visit with friends from 1:00 to 1:45 p.m. at the church prior to services. Burial will be in the Ammon Cemetery under the direction of Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Funeral Services
