Richard "Dick Grow" Grow

Biography

Richard Henry Grow, 84, of Idaho Falls, passed away at home Saturday, December 22, 2012, surrounded by his family. He was under the care of Hospice of Eastern Idaho. Dick was born August 10, 1928, in Salt Lake City, Utah, the son of William Henry Grow Jr. and Ethal Graham Grow. He grew up in Salt Lake City and graduated from South High School. Dick married Florice Chell Labrum on May 22, 1971 in Salt Lake City, Utah. They were the parents of seven children. They lived in Salt Lake City, for many years and retired to Idaho Falls, Idaho, in 1991 He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He worked as a plumber before retirement and was a member of the Plumber’s & Pipefitter’s Local #140. Dick enjoyed pool, horse shoes, fishing, golf, football, horse racing, hunting, but most of all his family. He is survived by: Daughter, Amy (Mike) Skaar of Lewisville, ID; Son, Steven Anderson of Idaho Falls; Son, Val (Janet) Anderson of Idaho Falls; Son, Randy (Barbara) Anderson of Murray, UT; Son, Tom (Rie) Grow of Honolulu, HI; Daughter, Rachell (Jon) Roper of Mona, UT Son, Russell (Becca) Grow of Meridian, ID; Lifetime friend, Marita Anderson of Idaho Falls; Brother, Robert (Bonnie) Grow Brothers, Bill (Jawnie) Grow; Sister Ann Sharp; 34 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife and parents. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, December 29th at the Idaho Falls LDS Township Ward (5255 S 5th West). Family will meet with friends 1-1:45 p.m. prior to the service. The family would like to give a special thanks to Hospice of Eastern Idaho, especially his nurse Annette.
