Richard Carl Gray, 62, of Idaho Falls, passed away October 13, 2015, at his home from heart failure, with his wife at his side.
Richard was born August 11, 1953, in Salmon, Idaho, to Carl Gray and Tacy Ann Knowles Gray. He was raised in Shelley and graduated in 1971 from Shelley High School. He graduated from Ricks College in Rexburg, Idaho in 1973 and then attended Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah.
Rick was involved in the family business, Carl Gray Tires, from an early age. He truly was the “Tireman”. His kind and generous nature was known to many.
He married Tamra “Tammy” K. Stitt on September 11, 1991, in Idaho Falls and they were sealed in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple on November 28, 1998. Rick had endured declining health and tremendous challenges during the past 12 years of his life. He loved the Lord and the Gospel and never complained or questioned his situation.
He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in the Elders Quorum Presidency, in Young Mens and enjoyed coaching the youth. He played softball and basketball on many local teams and had his own team for years. Rick was an avid sports fan and loved watching the San Francisco 49ers play. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a true story teller and always had a story to share. He lived a full happy life.
Rick will be remembered as a true friend to many. He loved to open their home to friends and family.

numerous nieces and nephews and his faithful companions, Jesse James and Callie, who were always by his side.
He was preceded in death by his father, Carl Gray.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 17, 2015, at Idaho Falls LDS Cedar Ridge Ward (3195 South Holmes Avenue) with Bishop Jim Durrant officiating. The family will visit with friends on Saturday from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to the services at the church. Burial will be in the Fielding Memorial Park Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests remembrances be made to the family for overwhelming medical expenses.
