Gratiot - 12/27/2002 IDAHO FALLS, ID: Richard William “Rick” Gratiot, 47, of Idaho Falls, died December 25, 2002, at Idaho Falls Care Center of complications of multiple sclerosis. He was born February 12, 1955, at Twin Falls, Idaho, to Calvin Donald Gratiot and Gwendolyn Marie Holmgren Headley Gratiot. The family moved to Idaho Falls when he was 10 and he grew up here. He graduated from Idaho Falls High School and Ricks College. He married Brenda Rigoulot March 16, 1972, at Idaho Falls, and they were later divorced. He married Elisa Leonor Barreto August 24, 1996, at Christ the King Roman Catholic Church in Idaho Falls. He worked as a clerk at Grand Central, as a machinist at Idaho Steel, and then as an Industrial Hygenist for Bechtel at the INEEL until 1992, when he was forced to retire due to complications of Multiple Sclerosis. He was a member of Christ the King Roman Catholic Church. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus and was a 4th degree Knight. He loved his involvement with the Big Brother program. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing, water rafting, boating, and rock hunting. He also liked woodworking, car repair and body work, and cooking. FUNERAL SERVICES Funeral Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Monday, December 30, 2002, at Christ the King Roman Catholic Church, 1690 East 17th Street, with Father Bill Crowley officiating. Vigil Prayer Services will be at 7 p.m. Sunday, December 29, 2002, at the Wood Chapel of the Pines (273 N. Ridge). The family will visit with friends for one hour prior to the services on Monday at the church.
