Richard Lynn Frandsen, 67, of Rexburg, Idaho passed away on March 27, 2012, at his home. He was born July 20, 1944, in Idaho Falls, Idaho to Melvin C. Frandsen and Ivy Lavender Field Frandsen. He grew up and attended schools in the area, graduating from Bonneville High School. Following graduation, he served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He lived in Clamoth Falls, Oregon before moving to Rexburg 35 years ago. On May 6, 1994, he married Linda Marie Frandsen in Idaho Falls. He worked as a Diesel Mechanic while serving in the Army and continued to work as a mechanic throughout his life. Richard loved his work and spent most of his time in his shop working on diesel trucks. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and had served as Greeter, Ward Mission Leader, Teacher in the High Priests Quorum, and Counselor in the High Priests Quorum. Survivors are: Wife: Linda Frandsen, Rexburg, ID Brother: Keith (Kathi) Frandsen, Iona, ID Brother: Waldon (Karen) Frandsen, Idaho Falls, ID Sister: Karen (Jack) Jenkins, Idaho Falls, ID Sister: Annette Torres, Ucon, ID He was preceded in death by his 2 sisters, Barbara Frandsen and Joyce Moon. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 31, 2012, at Wood Funeral Home East Side (963 S. Ammon) with Bishop Wade Huntsman, of the Lyman 1st Ward, officiating. The family will visit with friends on Friday from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the Lyman 1st Ward (1952 West 6000 South, Rexburg) and on Saturday from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to the services at Wood East Side. Burial will be in the Iona Cemetery.

The family will visit with friends on Friday from 6-8:00 p.m. at the Lyman 1st Ward (1952 West 6000 South) and Saturday from 10-10:45 a.m. at Wood East Side (963 S. Ammon).
