Richard Arnold "Dick" Campbell, 88, of Idaho Falls, passed away August 8, 2018, at Lincoln Court Retirement Center. Dick was born September 11, 1929, in Blackfoot, Idaho, to Arnold Campbell and Catherine Jones Campbell. He grew up and attended schools in the area. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. On January 19, 1953, he married Barbara Jean Knapp in Idaho Falls, Idaho. To this union were born five children: Wayne, Robert, Perry, Robin, and Ellen. Dick and Barbara made their home in Idaho Falls, Idaho, where Dick worked as a cement mason. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He enjoyed cutting wood, pheasant hunting and training dogs. He is survived by his son, Wayne (Beth) Campbell of Idaho Falls, ID; son, Perry Campbell of Idaho Falls, ID; daughter, Robin (Corey) Nelson of Folsom, CA; daughter-in-law, Eleanor Campbell of Ammon, ID; sister, Raeseal Campbell of Shelley, ID; 12 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Barbara, a son, Robert Campbell, a daughter, Ellen Campbell, two sisters, Lucille Kunard and Marie Paulson, and one brother, Dell Campbell. The family wishes to express special thanks to Lincoln Court and Encompass Hospice for their kind and loving care. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 14, 2018, at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge Avenue, with Bishop Frank Weber officiating. The family will visit with friends from 6:30-8:00 p.m. Monday and 10-10:45 a.m. Tuesday, both at Wood Funeral Home. Burial will be in Fielding Memorial Park Cemetery. Military Rites will be performed by the Bonneville County Veterans Memorial Team and Idaho Honor Guard.
