Richard Bridwell

Richard Wayne Bridwell, 86 years young, of Idaho Falls, was born September 6, 1931 in Siloam Springs, Arkansas and passed away April 12, 2018 in Idaho Falls, Idaho.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Maria L. Bridwell (Koehler) and by his children, Charles Karl Bridwell, Gerda Ilona Bridwell (Osburn), Joanne Elaine Bridwell, Thomas Bridwell, Martin Koehler, William Bridwell, Angela Bridwell (Lautenschlager), and James Bridwell.

He is also survived by his brother and 5 sisters, Charles Bridwell, and Carol, Nancy, Clara, Wilma, and Jeline.

He also is survived by 13 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

He served in the United States Army from 1948-1973. He served in Germany, Austria, Italy, Vietnam, and South Korea. He was also a proud member of The Salvation Army from 1997-2005. Even after his retirement, he enjoyed volunteering and doing bible study. He was also a service extension representative for The Salvation Army for Idaho.

His greatest love was driving just for the sake of driving. He had a dry sense of humor and spring was his favorite time of year.

Memorial Services will be held 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 18th at The Salvation Army, 605 N. Blvd. Friends and immediate family only.

Military Rites will be performed by the Bonneville County Veterans Memorial Team and Idaho Honor Guard.
