Richard Bowman

RICHARD L. BOWMAN IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Richard Leon Bowman, 67, of Salmon, died April 11, 2006, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. He was born February 4, 1939, at Centerville, Iowa, to Wallace Bowman and Betty Lloyd Bowman. The family lived in Minnesota, Nevada, and then moved to Grass Valley, California, where he attended schools. They later moved to Southern California. During high school he served in the National Guard and later joined the U. S. Navy. On June 14, 1960, he married Beverly Laura Wilhelmine Andresen in Las Vegas. He worked as a heavy equipment operator in the construction industry. He was raised in the Methodist Church. His hobbies included camping, hunting, fishing, and he enjoyed being a ham radio operator. Richard especially loved his family and being with his grandchildren, Shane Bowman, Beau Bowman and Laci Bowman. Survivors are: Wife: Beverly Bowman, Salmon, ID Son: Scott Bowman, Vernonia, OR Son: Steve (Maralee) Bowman, Central Point, OR Son: Richard “Rick” Leon Bowman, Jr., Joplin, MO 3 Grandchildren Sister: Margaret Campbell, El Monte, CA Brother: Les Bowman, Palm Springs, CA He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Charlene Hoppes. At the family’s request, no services are planned. Arrangements are under the direction of Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge, in Idaho Falls.
