Richard Bierma Sr.

Richard Dee Bierma, 67, of Shelley, passed away April 1, 2026, at his home.

Richard was born January 27, 1959, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Merle Raymond and Margorie Louise Bierma. He grew up and attended Iona Elementary and dropped out from O.E. Bell Junior High School.

In 1975, he married Crystal Bierma. They had two children, Jason and Kristen. They were later divorced. In 1981, Richard married Judy Annette Page-Whitney. They had three children, Annette, Michael, and Richard. They were later divorced. In 1987, Richard married Lisa Slat. They had two children, Jeremy and Timothy. Richard and Lisa were divorced two years later. Richard made his home in Shelley, Idaho.

He was a member of Watersprings Church and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He had thirteen kids and loved working on farms, moving pipe, milking cows, lawn care, camping, and fishing. He loved his family and friends. He loved his alcohol.

Richard is survived by his son, Richard Bierma, Jr. of Idaho Falls, ID; son, Jason Bierma of Boise, ID; son, Tanner Bierma of Idaho Falls, ID; daughter, Kristen of Long Beach, CA; son, Izia Bierma of Fort Hall, ID; daughter, Annette Reed of Pocatello, ID; son, Eric Bierma of Idaho Falls, ID; son, Michael Bierma of Blackfoot, ID; son, Jeremy Bierma of Rexburg, ID; son, Timothy Bierma of Idaho Falls, ID; son, Andrew Bierma of Idaho Falls, ID; son, Tyler Bierma of Tetonia, ID; son, Arron Bierma of Fort Hall, ID; brother, Dennis Bierma of Ammon, ID; sister-in-law, Jackie Bierma of Idaho Falls, ID; sister, Lisa Bierma of Idaho Falls, ID.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Merle and Margorie Bierma; brother, Dennis Bierma; and ex-wives, Crystal Bierma and Judy Annette Page-Whitney.
