Richard Francis Benson

Richard Francis Benson, 75, of Idaho Falls, passed away June 22, 2023, at Teton Healthcare of Cascadia.

Richard was born July 22, 1947, in Santa Monica, California, to Robert Francis Benson and Virginia Jean Bryant Benson. He grew up and attended school in Los Angeles, California. When he was 17, he joined the United States Navy and served in the Vietnam War.

Richard worked in construction and as a repair tech for AT&T and MCI. He also worked in the motorcycle industry. He was an avid motorcyclist and enjoyed scuba diving and skiing.

Richard is survived by his loving son, Michael (Michelle) Benson; son, Phillip Benson; sisters, Mary Ann, Patty, and Cathy; and brother, Robert.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Virginia Benson.
