Richard Alan Agans

Richard Alan Agans, 78, of Idaho Falls, passed away July 30, 2026, at Idaho Falls Community Hospital. He was under the care of Aspen Home Health & Hospice and his loving family.

Richard was born April 9, 1948, in Saginaw, Michigan, to Ben Agans and Theresa Storm Agans. He grew up and attended schools in Saginaw and graduated from Bridgeport High School. He also attended Northern Michigan University where he earned his Master’s Degree in Business Administration.

On November 4, 1978, he married Doris Eggler in Lech, Austria. Richard and Doris made their home in Idaho Falls, Idaho, where Richard worked as a scheduler for the INL.

He was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church. He enjoyed music, chess, fishing, reading, and grilling.

Richard is survived by his wife of 48 years, Doris Agans of Idaho Falls, ID; son, Stephen (Maren Gregersen) Agans of New Orleans, LA; daughter, Sandra (Todd) Krueger of Elizabeth, OK; son, David Agans of Oklahoma City, OK; brother, Ben (Karen) Agans of Reese, MI; sister, Jo O'Neill of Arlington, TX; sister, Janet (Marvin) Schultz of Lewiston, ID; brother, Don Agans of Frankenmuth; brother, Ed Agans of Arlington, TX; brother, Robert Agans of Hillsborough, NC; and 2 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ben and Theresa Agans.
