Reuel Wilkins

Reuel Hugh Wilkins, 76, of Idaho Falls, passed away February 23, 2024, at home. He was under the care of Brio Home Health and Hospice.

Reuel was born June 27, 1947, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to James Ralph Wilkins and Eva Judd Wilkins. He grew up in Coltman, Idaho, and graduated from Bonneville High School. He also attended Stevens Henager College and EITC.

In March of 1968, he married Lori Christensen. They had three children together, Bill, Lisa, and Jacki. They later divorced. Reuel made his home in Idaho Falls, Idaho, where he worked for the Idaho National Guard.

He had a long military career, often being the top recruiter in Idaho. He  enjoyed reading, playing "Free Cell" on his phone, watching "NCIS," cracking silly "Grandpa" jokes, and he helped raise his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Reuel is survived by his daughter, Lisa Wilkins of Idaho Falls, ID; daughter, Jacki Wilkins of Shelley, ID; sister, Gail Trowbridge of Providence, UT; brother, Lee (Cinda) Wilkins of Idaho Falls, ID; sister, Rae Carr of Idaho Falls, ID; grandchildren, Ricky (Becca Cuppy) Wilkins, Freyja Wilkins, Sasha Wilkins, Emmi Wilkins; great grandchildren, Tenley Stewart, Talon Stewart, Paxton Wilkins, Davin Wilkins, and Remini Wilkins.

He was preceded in death by his father, James Ralph Wilkins; mother, Eva Judd Wilkins; son, Bill  Wilkins; brother, James Ralph Wilkins, Jr.; and sister, Alita Romney.

A celebration of life will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 16, 2024, at the Veterans Memorial Building, 485 Constitution Way, Idaho Falls, Idaho.
