Reuel D. Hendricks

Reuel D. Hendricks, 83, of Idaho Falls, passed away April 30, 2026, at his home. He was under the care of Enhabit Hospice.

Reuel was born August 24, 1942, in Hibbard, Idaho, to Kenneth Josiah Hendricks and Ruth May Davies Hendricks. He grew up in Hibbard and graduated from Madison High School. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He used his G.I. Bill for college classes in Science, Astronomy, and his favorite course, Geology.

Reuel married Joyce Ball and she passed away December 29, 2011. He was then with Ella Marie Wayland until she passed on June 1, 2014.

His childhood was shaped by the rugged beauty and simplicity of farm life. Once he had his pilots license, he flew small private planes. He loved everything outdoors from camping, hiking, and fishing. His work ethic was unparalleled and he accomplished much.

Reuel is survived by his son, Kevin Hendricks of Idaho Falls, ID; daughter, Rikki (Tim) Rafferty of Ann Arbor, MI; son, Jesse (Tiffany) Hendricks of Idaho Falls, ID; son, Joshua Hendricks of Idaho Falls, ID; daughter, Jennifer Hendricks of Idaho Falls, ID; sister, Sandra Ball of Rexburg, ID; sister, Lana Hendricks of Pollock Pines, CA; and 10 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Ruth Hendricks; son, Stacey Joe Hendricks; his wife, Joyce Ball Hendricks; and also, Ella Wayland Hendricks.

Private family services will be held at a later date.
