Renee Griggs

Click Here To View Memorial Video Renee Ann Jensen Griggs, 62, of Idaho Falls, passed away on June 2, 2015, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. She was born August 22, 1952, in the Idaho Falls LDS Riverview Hospital to Leslie Clyde Jensen and Helen Wanda Summers Jensen. She grew up and attended schools in the area, graduating from Bonneville High School. She then attended Ricks College in Rexburg, Idaho. On October 22, 1994, she married Thomas Kay Griggs in Idaho Falls. Their marriage was solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple on May 20, 1995. Renee worked for Idaho First National Bank, West One Bank, US Bank, Bank of Idaho, Charter Mortgage, and part-time for School District 91. She was a devoted wife, mother and homemaker. Renee was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served faithfully in the Primary, Stake and Ward Young Womens, as Advancement Chairman for Boy Scouts, Lincoln Court Sacrament Meeting Coordinator, and as a Visiting Teacher. She was an accomplished crochet artist and also enjoyed cross stitch, wood projects for her home, reading baking/cooking, and playing the piano. She was a collector of spoons, Barbies, nativities, Willow figurines, and depression glass. Renee is survived by her: Husband: Tom Griggs, Idaho Falls, ID Son: Dakota Leigh Griggs, currently serving in the California Bakersfield Mission Daughter: Miranda (Morgan Seward) McKinlay, Idaho Falls, ID Daughter: Holley Kay Griggs, Nashville, TN Brother: Allen (Joellen) Jensen, Hillsboro, OR Brother: Lyle (Radene) Jensen, Idaho Falls, ID Brother: Dell (Paula) Jensen, Idaho Falls, ID Sister: Betty Wilding, Idaho Falls, ID Sister: Valene (Kent) Willford, Rigby, ID Sister: Gay (Gerald) Martineau, Pocatello, ID Sister-in-law: Pam Jensen, Garland, UT 4 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild She was preceded by her parents and two brothers, Stephen Jensen and Kay Jensen Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, June 5, 2015, at the Idaho Falls LDS Stake Center (1155 E. First Street) with Bishop Jason Skillings officiating. The family will reminisce and celebrate Renee’s life with friends and relatives on Thursday from 6:30-8 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home (273 N. Ridge) and on Friday from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to services at the church. Burial will be in the Rigby Pioneer Cemetery.
