BASALT, ID -- Rebecca Ann Campbell Dickerson, 38, died November 16, 2008, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center of complications of cystic fibrosis (CF). She passed away surrounded by her family and friends. Becky was born October 28, 1970, at Riverview Hospital in Idaho Falls, to Garth Campbell and Rochelle Huntsman Campbell, who currently live in Basalt, Idaho. Becky defied the odds for CF patients, putting up a stubborn fight, living for her two daughters, Meghan and Katie Dickerson. She loved to do cross-stitching and other crafts, and collect and watch movies and TV series on DVD. She also loved to read, listen to music and waltz with her Daddy. She was deeply loved and will be sorely missed by her family and friends. Becky's family would like to send their deepest thanks and love to Dr. Tony Golden and his staff, to the nurses and staff on the 5th floor at EIRMC, and Gary Pullen and staff at Prescription Center Home Health, for helping Becky fight her battle with cystic fibrosis. Throughout her struggle, they helped her at every stage with personal care and professionalism. Becky is survived by her daughters, Meghan and Katie Dickerson and future son-in-law, Steven Robertshaw; parents, Garth and Rochelle Campbell of Basalt; two sisters, Stephanie Wilkinson and Kathy (Gary) Noyes; two brothers, David Campbell and Joseph (Rena) Campbell; four nephews, Zach, Chris, T.J. and Matt, and one niece, Sarah. She was preceded in death by her brother, Perrin Campbell, her grandparents, Lenrie & Emily Campbell and Lenard & Evelyn Huntsman, her aunt, Beverly Jean Pratt Campbell, and her uncles, David Zorn and Allen Campbell. Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 19, 2008, at the Basalt LDS Ward at 133 Main Street, Basalt, Idaho. A viewing will be held Tuesday from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge, Idaho Falls, and again Wednesday beginning at 9:30 a.m. at the chapel in Basalt. Burial will follow in the Taylor Cemetery, east of Shelley, Idaho, under the direction of Wood Funeral Home. Becky's family suggests contributions to the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Idaho, P.O. Box 453, Boise, ID 83701-0453. --------------------------------------------- Condolences sent online: Julie Johnson flyfish3d@yahoo,com I wanted to tell you what a joy Becky was to take care of. I have worked on the 5th floor of EIRMC as a CNA for 5 1/2 years and it was always a pleasure to see Becky even though she wasn't always feeling the best, she was fun to visit with and catch up on the latest family news (I used to be married to Merrill Huntsman). I want you to know what a special girl you had/have! My thoughts and prayers are with you as you get through this difficult time. May you feel the Lord's love and comfort. Sincerely, Julie Johnson Dani (Taylor) McCord danimccord@hotmail.com I live just down the street in Basalt and I would just like to express my deepest condolences. I hope you all find peace in knowing that her fight is over and she is feeling the best she has ever felt and looking forward to the day she greets you all with open arms. The Intermountain CF Center Our most sincere condolences to the family and friends of Rebecca. Many of us remember caring for Rebecca over the years. We hope that happy memories give you comfort and strength. Rodger and Carol Jensen My gosh, how very sorry we were to read about your sweet girl. We had no idea. She was such a fighter for so many years. We know you all have had so much sorrow with the recent loss of Beverly. May Heavenly Father wrap his arms around all of you once again to give you comfort, peace, and hope, and fill your empty hearts with happy memories. Memories are the legacy of love . . . and always know you will never walk alone . . . and you will be carried through this tender time until the sun comes out behind the dark clouds you are all having now. We express our love to all of you. Heidi Strong My thoughts and prayers are with you all at this most difficult time. Becky was an amazing person filled with courage and strength. We will always be grateful to her for blessing our family with two incredible nieces. God bless and keep you all. Heidi Kim Cook kimellingford@msn.com I am so deeply saddened to learn of Becky's passing. We were the best of childhood frieds. Although I wasn't able to see Becky as often as I wanted, I always thought about her and prayed for her. She was a very loving, couragous, strong, beautiful person. I will miss her greatly. My prayers are with her family at this very hard time.
