REBECCA T. DANIEL
IDAHO FALLS, IDAHO: Rebecca T. Daniel, 72, of Idaho Falls, died September 22, 2002, at Fairwinds Retirement Community of cancer.
She was born in Beggs, Oklahoma, Oct. 13, 1929, to Roy and Nora Belle Nimmo Thompson. She was raised in Missouri, moved to Vinita, Oklahoma, as a teenager and graduated from Vinita High School. She also attended Northeast Oklahoma State College.
She married Darry S. Daniel in 1946, and they were later divorced. She married Rex E. Dewey in 1975, and he predeceased her. In 1991, she married Rowe B. St. Clair, and they were later divorced. For 25 years, she was chief bookkeeper for KAMO Rural Electric Cooperative. She was a pioneer in computer usage for Rural Electric Cooperatives, participating in the first “breadboard” constructions of IBM computers. She was also an accomplished china painter and artist and had her own studio, Tuckaway Studio on Duck Creek at Grand Lake, Oklahoma.
After retirement she enjoyed fishing on Grand Lake, Oklahoma, until last year when she moved to Idaho to be near her family. One of her greatest joys was spending time with her grandson, Bruce L.H. & wife, Wanda Daniel and great grandsons, Clay & David Nicholas Daniel, all of Pocatello. Surviving are:Son: David (Brenda B.) Daniel, Rigby, IDBrother: Robert Thompson, Vinita, OKSister: Wilma Taylor, Tyler, TX 1 Grandson and 2 Great Grandchildren.
At her request, she was cremated and no services will be held locally. There will be a memorial service Thursday, October 25, at 3 PM at Burckhalter Funeral Home, Vinita, Oklahoma.
