Raymond Wayne Lile

Raymond Wayne Lile, 78, of Ammon, passed away December 16, 2020, at Lily & Syringa Assisted Living Center. He was under the care of Hands of Hope Hospice and his loving family.

Ray was born September 24, 1942, in Healdsburg, California, to Clifford Ingram Lile and Mary Agnes Rutherford Lile. He grew up in Cloverdale, California, where he attended local schools. When he was 16 years old, Ray earned his Private Pilot License. He went on to attend a junior college in Oakland, California.

On September 10, 1965, he married Mavis Aileen Lile Meyers in Cloverdale, California. Ray and Mavis made their home in Cloverdale, California, where Ray oversaw sales at MGM Brakes and worked in the trucking industry for 35 years.

He was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was the first Bishop of the Cloverdale Ward. Ray also served as a Stake Missionary. His passion in life was flying and aviation.

Ray is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Mavis Lile of Ammon, ID; son, Christopher Lile of Idaho Falls, ID; daughter, Michelle Trumble-Vanleuven of Auburn, WA; daughter, Kristi Schlosser of Santa Rosa, CA; sister, Sharon Badgley of Cloverdale, CA; sister, Edna Larson of Redwood Valley; CA; and five grandchildren, Amber Trumble, Josh Trumble, Ben Lile, Matt Lile, and Noah Lile.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clifford Ingram Lile and Mary Agnes Rutherford Lile.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, private family services will be held.
