RAYMOND K. HRONEK
IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Raymond Keith Hronek, 66, of Idaho Falls, died December 10, 2001, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center of liver failure.
He was born January 8, 1935, at Pocatello, to Matthew Raymond Hronek and Rosella Gwendolyn Butterfield Hronek. He grew up in Seattle, Washington, where he attended school and received his formal education.
A career military man, he served in the U. S. Marine Corps during the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam War. He retired proudly at the rank of Master Sergeant.
He married Glenda Rae Willson, his best friend and the love of his life on July 5, 1955 in San Bernardino, California. They made their home in Southern California and in Idaho. After his retirement from the military, he worked for the State of Idaho as a Transportation Inspector. Some of his most rewarding years of work as well as the heartfelt friendships he developed were during this time.
He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles. He had a passion for coin collecting, and enjoyed golfing, bowling, fishing, racquetball, baseball and football.
Surviving are:Wife: Glenda Hronek, Idaho Falls, IDDaughter: Cindy Rae Hronek-Brush, Idaho Falls, IDSon: Robert Keith Hronek, Boise, IDDaughter: Kim Hronek-Hove, Boise, IDDaughter: Rebecca Rose Burtenshaw, NC 11 Grandchildren & 6 Great GrandchildrenHe was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Dean, and a sister, Dorothy and his most beloved friend, his dog, Tawny.
Funeral Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, December 15, 2001, at the Wood Chapel of the Pines with Pastor Dave Gibson of Christ Community Church officiating. The family will visit with friends on Friday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. and for one hour prior to the services on Saturday, both at Wood Funeral Home.
