Elliott "Raye" Lindley, 64, of Idaho Falls, Idaho, passed away July 9, 2016, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. Raye was born February 3, 1952, in Macon, Missouri, to Elliott Lindley and Anita B. Diaz Lindley. He grew up and attended school in Idaho Falls and graduated from Idaho Falls High School. He also attended Idaho State University securing a degree in Sociology. He married Christy Brough (Lindley) in 1970 and they had two children, Travis and Erika. They divorced in 1984, but they remained best friends. Raye worked as a laborer pouring cement and other construction duties for various companies in the Idaho Falls area. Raye loved his family. He loved attending concerts and enjoyed many different kinds of music. Music was a big part of his life. He enjoyed all sports, especially football. His favorite professional team was the Denver Broncos. He also enjoyed watching his grandson play baseball, and he would rarely miss a game. Raye is survived by his daughter, Erika (Josh) Lindley of Idaho Falls, ID; son, Travis (Nancy) Lindley of Idaho Falls, ID; two sisters, Elaine of MO and Jackie of OR; brother, Leon; and brother-in-law, Gary of AZ. He left behind 7 beloved grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Daryl Lindley; and sister, Joanne Lambert. A memorial for family and friends will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, July 23, 2016, at the residence of a family friend, 7731 N. Yellowstone Highway in Idaho Falls. In lieu of flowers, the family has set up the "Elliot Raye Legacy Account" for the benefit of his grandchildren at the Bank of Commerce in Idaho Falls.
