Rayce Mcvey

Click Here To View Memorial Video Rayce L McVey, 56, passed away Monday, August 4 , 2014, at the University of Washington Medical Center in Seattle, Washington. Rayce was born June 7, 1958, in Bremerton, Washington, to Larry H and Shirley Ann Soule McVey. In the fall of 1960 the family moved to Idaho Falls, where he grew up and attended Hillview Elementary, Ammon Junior High, and Bonneville High School. During and after High School he worked for H&K Contractors. On December 31, 1978, he married Karole June Denning and they were blessed with a son, Michael Rayce. They were later divorced. He moved back to Washington in 1986, and joined the Teamsters Union. He worked and retired from Scarsella Bros. Inc. In March of 2012 he moved back to Idaho Falls to be with his family. Rayce enjoyed camping, fishing, and hanging out with family and friends. He was a loving father and a wonderful "Poppa" to his two beautiful granddaughters, Averey Nicole and Dempsey Jayde McVey. He is survived by his mother, Shirley Ann Soule McVey of Iona, his son Michael (Heather) McVey, his sister, Sherrie (Doug) Elliott, brothers Vance (Manuela), and Shane (Tavia) McVey. He is preceded in death by his father, Larry H McVey. A gathering will be held from 6:30-8:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 27, 2014, at Wood Funeral Home, 963 South Ammon Road.
