Ray Spaulding

Biography

Errol Ray Spaulding, 41, of Idaho Falls, passed away Tuesday, July 5, 2011, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. Ray was born October 29, 1969, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Errol Charles Spaulding and Sharen Holbrook Spaulding. He graduated from Ririe High School and attended Utah State University before obtaining an Associate Degree in Computer Technology from Eastern Idaho Technical College. He married Hollie Ann Park, daughter of Kendall and JoAnn Park of Ririe, on December 15, 1989, in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. They made their home in Idaho Falls to raise their five children. Ray worked in the Information Technology Department at Melaleuca. An active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Later-day Saints, he served in various callings, including cub master, Primary, Elder’s Quorum presidency, Sunday School teacher and Home Teacher. He enjoyed watching his kids play in sports, playing the saxophone and guitar, computers, reading, and spending time with family and friends. Ray was loved by everyone he met. Survivors include his wife, Hollie Spaulding; sons, Nicholas Charles Spaulding (18), Michael Ray Spaulding (16), Christopher Ward Spaulding (13), Brian James Spaulding (6); and daughter, Alyssa JoAnn Spaulding (4), all of Idaho Falls; his parents, Errol and Sharen Spaulding of Ririe; cousin, Bret Jones of Nampa, ID; brothers, Dennis Wayne (Shelley) Spaulding of Mahwah, NJ, and Randy Jay Spaulding of Albuquerque, NM. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Earl and Gladys Spaulding of Ririe, Idaho, and Melnot and Evelyn Holbrook of Idaho Falls, Idaho; and a niece, Krystal Lynn Spaulding. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 11, 2011, at the Ammon LDS North Stake Center, 4363 East 17th Street, with Bishop Justin Judy of the Ammon LDS 14th Ward officiating. The family will visit with friends on Sunday from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 S. Ammon Road, and Monday from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. at the church prior to services. Burial will be in the Ririe-Shelton Cemetery.

The family will visit with friends on Sunday evening from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 S. Ammon Rd., and on Monday from 10 to 10:45 a.m. at the church prior to services. Burial will be at Ririe-Shelton Cemetery.
