RAY H. LOTT
UCON, ID -- Ray Hawkins Lott, 68, of Ucon, passed away May 21, 2002, at his home in Swan Valley of leukemia.
Ray was born April 20, 1934, at Idaho Falls, to John Taylor Lott and Mary Hawkins Lott. He grew up in Ucon and attended Ucon Grade School and graduated with the first class to graduate from Bonneville High School.
Ray married his sweetheart and partner of 49 years, Ada LaDawn Taylor, on June 5, 1953, in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. They made their home in Ucon, where he farmed and ranched for many years. Since their retirement they have wintered in Apache Junction, Arizona.
An active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Ray served in the Elders Quorum Presidency, as Bishop of the Ucon 2nd Ward, on the Ucon Stake High Council, and he and LaDawn served two full-time missions back-to-back to the Arizona Tempe Mission and the Mesa LDS Temple Visitor's Center. He served for many years on the board of the Farmer's Friend Canal Company.
Ray loved antiques and enjoyed traveling. Ray & LaDawn were best friends and so enjoyed and loved their family and their Father in Heaven. Ray loved the land and enjoyed the newness of each spring.

Funeral Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, May 24, 2002, at the Ucon LDS 2nd Ward, 10854 North 41 East, Ucon, with Bishop Tim Solomon officiating.
The family will visit with friends on Thursday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home and for one hour prior to services on Friday at the church.
Burial will be in Ucon Cemetery under the direction of Wood Funeral Home.
