UCON, ID -- Ray Lewis Christesen, 78, of Ucon, died May 22, 2008, at his home of natural causes.
He was born February 23, 1930, in Garfield Ward, Idaho, to Christian Allen Christesen and Lillie Agnes Young Christesen. A lifelong resident of Ucon, he graduated from Ucon High School in 1948. He also graduated with an Associates Degree from Phoenix Community College.
He served as an Airman First Class in the U. S. Air Force.
He married Georgia Belle Davis November 3, 1951, in Prescott, Arizona, and they were later divorced.
He married Geraldine Lyman June 1, 1978, in Pocatello, Idaho. Their marriage was solemnized December 18, 1999, in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. He worked as a computer operator for EG&G Idaho, retiring in 1992.
A member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, he was a High Priest and served as Sunday School Secretary and stake printer. He enjoyed pursuing his family history, woodworking, playing cards, and spending time with his grandchildren.

Daughter: Patricia Gail (Dan) Hubbard, Great Falls, MT
Son: Daniel Craig (Jaralyn) Christesen, Idaho Falls, ID
Brother: Lloyd (Pearl) Christesen, Boise, ID
Brother: Gary (Lianne) Christesen, Idaho Falls, ID
16 Grandchildren & 17 Great Grandchildren
He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Florence, and a brother, Ralph.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 24, 2008, at the Ucon LDS Stake Center, 2967 East 105 North, Ucon. The family will visit with friends Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 S. Ammon Road, and Saturday from 10 to 10:45 a.m. at the church.
Burial will be in the Ucon Cemetery under the direction of Wood Funeral Home. Military Rites will be performed by the Bonneville County Veterans Memorial Team.
