Randy Spruill

Wiley Randall Spruill, 56, of Idaho Falls, passed away July 7, 2018, at his home following a courageous battle with cancer. Randy was born June 22, 1962, in Hampton, Virginia, to Ernest Ronald Spruill and Margaret Louise Grizzard Spruill. He grew up and attended schools in Virginia at Bethel High School and played football at Virginia Tech. Randy moved to Idaho Falls, Idaho, in 1997, where he met the love of his life, Lisa Williams. On December 26, 2003, they were married in Las Vegas, Nevada, and Randy became a father to two sons, Jeremiah and Nate Jones. Randy and Lisa made their home in Idaho Falls, Idaho, where he worked at the INEL as a radiological protection manager. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, outdoor sports and spending time with his grandchildren. Randy is survived by his loving wife, Lisa K Spruill of Idaho Falls, ID; son, Jeremiah Jones of Idaho Falls, ID; son, Nathaniel (Elise) Jones of Idaho Falls, ID; mother, Margaret Spruill of Idaho Falls, ID; brother, Ron (Jan) Spruill of Idaho Falls, ID; niece, Alex Spruill of Provo, Utah; nephew, Kenan (Deprise) Spruill of South Jordan, UT; and 7 grandchildren, Mikyra, Jayden, Mitaya, Steve, Evan, Shyanne and Scarlett. He was preceded in death by his father. A gathering will be held from 6-8 p.m. Friday, July 13, 2018, at Wood Funeral Home, 273 North Ridge Avenue. A celebration of Randy’s life will also be held from 5-9 p.m. Saturday, July 14, 2018, at the family home. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the American Cancer Society at www.cancer.org .
