Rande Burns

RanDe Tod Burns, 64, passed away Saturday, December 28, 2013, at Portneuf Medical Center in Pocatello, Idaho, after a brief illness. He was born October 26, 1949, in Rigby, Idaho, to Robert G. Burns and Billie Prophet Burns. He grew up and attended schools in Rigby. He married his second-grade girlfriend, Suzanne Killian, and together they shared all of life’s adventures, raising two children and traveling extensively. RanDe worked in the construction industry and was a proud member of Laborers Union Local 155. He worked on the Teton Dam and also at the INEL. He worked for 15 years overseas in the Ukraine and the Republic of Georgia on the Nuclear Threat Reduction Program. He was very proud of that work, and any part he played in making the world a safer place for future generations. He retired in 2011. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, and took great pride in his miniature rose garden. He cherished his family and friends. RanDe was known for his outgoing nature and you could not remain a stranger very long around him. He truly cared about people and held a special place in his heart for the elderly. He is survived by his wife, Suzanne, daughter, Bobbette, and son, Tory; a sister, Tawny (Eric) Moss; brother, Benny (Jill) Beck; and sister-in-law, Patricia Burns; four grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, step-father, Ralph Beck, and brother Robert Kent Burns. RanDe’s wishes were to be cremated and to have family and friends gather to share memories. A Celebration of Life will be held from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday, January 2, 2014, at the Eagles Lodge, 635 Hemmert, Idaho Falls. &nbsp Born: October 26, 1949&nbsp Place of Birth: Rigby, ID&nbsp Death: December 28, 2013&nbsp Place of Death: Pocatello, ID
