Ralph Wilkins - 11/29/2001 Ralph Wilkins - 11/29/2001 J. RALPH WILKINS IDAHO FALLS, ID -- James Ralph Wilkins, 92, of Idaho Falls, died November 28, 2001, at his home at Lincoln Court following a stroke. He was born February 25, 1909, at Coltman, to Jesse Wilkins and Fanny Jane Burton Wilkins. He grew up in Coltman and attended schools in the area. He married Eva Lina Judd August 23, 1934, in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple. He lived and farmed in the Coltman area his entire life until moving to Lincoln Court in October, 2000. Eva passed away January 13, 2001. An active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, he served in various church positions, including Bishop. He served two full-time missions, one to South Carolina in 1930, and also with his wife in 1972 to Australia. He also served on the Bonneville County School Board. He and Eva traveled extensively and he enjoyed traveling in the United States and throughout the world. He loved gardening and keeping his yard up and was an accomplished poet. Funeral Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, December 3, 2001, at the Idaho Falls LDS Coltman 2nd Ward, 12448 North 5th West (Lewisville Highway), with Bishop David Keck officiating. The family will visit with friends on Sunday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home and for one hour prior to services on Monday at the church. Burial will be in Grant-Central Cemetery under the direction of Wood Funeral Home, 273 North Ridge Avenue, Idaho Falls, Idaho 83402-4092.
