Ralph Brown

Ralph Archibald Brown, 68, of Idaho Falls, passed away April 2, 2013, in Nevada at the Battle Mountain General Hospital. Ralph was born March 4, 1945, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Antone James Brown and Geneva Turner Brown. He attended school at Idaho Falls High School. Ralph joined the U.S. Army and served for two years in Germany. Ralph married Dorothy Ball August 9, 1969. They were married 43 wonderful years. They raised their family of four children and took in three other children as their own, Albert (Julie) Thompson, Thelma Thomas and Yvonne Lynn Hiaring. Ralph worked at Ball Fence Company, Idaho Livestock Auction, Farren Martin Farms, the Idaho Falls Foundry and retired from BMC West as a truck driver. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He enjoyed snowmobiling, camping, hunting, fishing, bowling, and golfing, but most of all spending time with his family and taking little trips with the grandchildren. He also enjoyed going to coffee with his friends at North Hiway Café, in Idaho Falls. He is survived by Wife, Dorothy Brown of Idaho Falls, ID; Son, Dennis (Shanon) Brown of Idaho Falls, ID; Daughter, Jody Lynn (Bobby) Smith of Nampa, ID; Son, Danny R. (Cindy) Brown of Battle Mountain, NV; Daughter, Shantell (Greg) Barnes of Idaho Falls, ID; Brother, Tony H. Brown of Idaho Falls, ID; Sister, Phyllis Frailey of Idaho Falls, ID; 20 Grandchildren and 8 Great Grandchildren He was preceded in death by his parents, Antone and Geneva Brown and a sister, Vera Brown. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 6, 2013, at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge, with Bishop Tom Barker of the Idaho Falls LDS 11th Ward officiating. The family will visit with friends from 6:00-7:30 p.m. Friday and 10:00-10:45 a.m. Saturday, both at Wood Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Ririe-Shelton Cemetery. Military Rites will be performed by the Bonneville County Veterans Team.
