IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Phillis Joan Gray Walker, 77, passed away April 8, 2009, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.
She was born July 13, 1932, in Idaho Falls to Glenn Montague and Ada Verna Radford Montague. She grew up in the Osgood area, where she attended school, and graduated from Idaho Falls High School.
On September 29, 1949, she married Vern Glen Gray. They were later divorced. She married Robert L. Walker on August 31, 1979, in St. Anthony, Idaho. Phillis was a homemaker and worked as a waitress, bartender and clerk at Cougar Corner in St. Anthony.
She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Phillis enjoyed crocheting, reading, camping and fishing, shopping and her family.
She is survived by:
Son, Leslie (Vicki) Gray of Sugar City;
Son, Gary (Chris) Gray of Pocatello;
Son, Randy (Laura) Gray of Idaho Falls;
Son, Bruce Gray of Spokane;
Daughter, Threasa (Keith) Stocz of Texas;
Daughter, Carol (Kevin) Moore of Oregon;
Brother, Monty (Janille) Montague of Idaho Falls;
Brother, Errol (Connie) Montague of Oregon;
Brother, Joel (Janet) Montague of Virginia;
Sister, Jeene Ryset of Washington;
Sister, Alleeane Morgan of Boise;
20 Grandchildren and 29 Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband; two sons, Ricky and Charlie, a granddaughter, Tanilya and a daughter-in-law, Chris Gray.
Memorial services will be at 12 Noon Tuesday, April 14, 2009, at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge, in Idaho Falls. The family will visit with friends for one hour prior to the services at Wood Funeral Home. Burial will be at 2 p.m. in the St. Anthony Cemetery.
