PHILLIP WELLMAN Click here to view Phillip's Video Tribute IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Phillip Christopher Wellman, 26, of Idaho Falls, died February 27, 2010, at his home after a fall. Phillip was born March 25, 1983, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to William Joseph Wellman and Wendy Leigh Ellis Wellman (Maxfield). He grew up in Idaho Falls and attended Falls Valley Elementary, Sandcreek Middle School, and graduated from Hillcrest High School. He married Dawn's Ray Jones and they were later divorced. He married Cherie Guggenheim and they later divorced. Phillip worked as a Security Guard. Phillip was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He loved the outdoors. Phillip enjoyed scouting because it often meant spending time outside. He also loved his country and always wanted to serve in the military. He joined the U. S. Army. He specialized in munitions, which was a perfect fit since he loved to shoot guns. He loved collecting knives, watching a good movie, and loved little kids. Phillip’s favorite times were spent with his family and playing games. He was kind and gentle and had a very tender heart. He will be missed by all who were lucky enough to have him bless their life. Heaven is a better place now that Phillip is home. Survivors include: Father: William Wellman of Idaho Falls, ID Mother: Wendy (Blake) Maxfield of Idaho Falls, ID Sister: Gaylene (Paul) Ruby of Boise, ID Brother: Steven (Shannon) Wellman of Pleasant Grove, UT Grandparents: Don & Bonnie Ellis of Idaho Falls, ID Grandmother: Sharon Wellman of Idaho Falls, ID He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Bert Wellman, an uncle, Richard Wellman, and an aunt, Shannon Stewart. Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, March 5, 2010, at the Idaho Falls LDS 24th Ward, 1155 East First Street, with Bishop Doug Hillman officiating. The family will visit with friends Thursday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge, and Friday from 10 to 10:45 a.m. at the church. Burial will be in Ririe-Shelton Cemetery under the direction of Wood Funeral Home.
