Phillip Spence Leatham, Sr., 75, of Idaho Falls, passed away January 9, 2024, at his home. He was under the care of his children.
Phillip was born December 11, 1948, in Rexburg, Idaho, to Edwin Francis Leatham and Bessie Rose Whittaker Leatham. He grew up and attended schools in Rexburg, ID, and received his diploma upon returning home from Vietnam. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.
On September 6, 1974, he married Vickie Lee Lords in Farmington, Utah. Phillip and Vickie made their home in Idaho Falls, Idaho, where Phillip worked as an Journeyman Electrician.
He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ Latter-day Saints. He enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing, hunting, shooting, and camping. One of his most fulfilling past-times were tending to all his many fruit trees.
Phillip is survived by his daughter, Karina Leatham of Idaho Falls, ID; son, Phillip (Tracy) Leatham, Jr., of Idaho Falls, ID; sister, Brenda J. Hare of Idaho Falls, ID; grandson, Kyler Wade Hope; and great grandsons, Klayton Wade Hope and Kayne Mathew Hope.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Vickie; and siblings, Frances Hatch, Joyce Hoehn, Edwin Blayne Leatham, and Marsha Shurtliff.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 16, 2024, at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 S. Ammon Road in Ammon, Idaho. The family will visit with friends from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to services. Burial will be in the Pioneer Cemetery in Rigby. Military Honors will be performed by the Bonneville County Veterans Memorial Team and the Idaho Honor Guard.
