Peter Parker

Peter Parker, 86, of Idaho Falls, passed away October 13, 2026, at Morningstar Senior Living in Idaho Falls. He was under the care of Brio Home Health and Hospice and his loving family.

Peter was born May 27, 1940, in Chicago, Illinois, to Peter Parker and Dorothy McIntosh Parker. He grew up and attended schools in Illinois and graduated from Barrington High School. He also earned his Bachelor’s Degree from Ripon College, Master’s Degree from Indiana University, and PhD from Boston College. Afterward, Peter served in the United States Army Reserves.

On December 31, 1966, he married Noreen Donnelly in Portadown, Northern Ireland. Peter and Noreen made their home in Nelson, New Hampshire, where Peter worked as a professor of economics for Keene Street College, and later, at Lafayette College, and Randolph Macon Women’s College.

He served as president of the Kiwanis Club in Lynchburg, Virginia, was an elected member of the Easton School Board in Easton, Pennsylvania, and was also an elected legislator in the New Hampshire House of Representatives. He enjoyed being a ballet dancer at the Lynchburg Regional Ballet Company, was a big fan of the Idaho Falls Spud Kings hockey team, and enjoyed playing the role of his namesake, Spiderman.

Peter is survived by his wife, Noreen Parker of Idaho Falls, ID; son, Peter (Sylvia) Parker of Frankfurt, Germany; daughter, Paitris Galian of Sullivan, New Hampshire; daughter, Emma (Dan) Thomas of Idaho Falls, ID; daughter, Isobel (Rich) Testardi of Idaho Falls, ID; sister-in-law, Jacqueline (Paddy) Redmond of Limerick, Ireland; and 8 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
