PEGGY J. PICKETT McFATE SAN MARTIN, CA -- Peggy Jeanne Pickett McFate, 60, formerly of Ammon, died October 30, 2004, at her home in San Martin, California. She was born May 23, 1944, at Idaho Falls, to Lyman Armstrong Pickett and Ethel Womack Pickett. She attended Ammon Elementary, Bonneville Junior High, and graduated from Bonneville High School. Following graduation she attended Porterville College. On August 9, 1963, she married Richard Jay McFate in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. They lived in Merced, California, for four years, San Jose, CA for three years, and for the last 34 years they have resided in San Martin, California. She was a mother and homemaker. After her family was raised, she worked as a bookkeeper and office manager for 15 years. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in the Primary, Mutual and Relief Society organizations. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, family reunions, being a homemaker and loved spending time with her grandchildren. Surviving are: Husband: Richard J. McFate, San Martin, CA Son: Kenn R. McFate, Gilroy, CA Daughter: Cindy Burton, Rigby, ID Son: David J. McFate, Hollister, CA Son: Travis K. McFate, Hollister, CA Brother: Richard Pickett, Idaho Falls, ID Brother: Matt Pickett, Idaho Falls, ID Brother: Glayson Pickett, Idaho Falls, ID Sister: LaRae Clark, Rexburg, ID Sister: Gayle Jacobson, Swan Valley, ID Sister: Marilyn Hunter, Rexburg, ID Sister: Beth Thatcher, Rexburg, ID Sister: Berdene Hill, Blackfoot, ID 8 Grandchildren She was preceded in death by her parents, and three half brothers, Rodney Pickett, Howard Pickett and Meade Pickett. Funeral Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 5, 2004, at Wood Funeral Home East Side (963 S. Ammon Road), with Gordon Thatcher officiating. The family will visit with friends for one hour prior to the services at Wood Funeral Home East Side. Burial will be in Ammon Cemetery under the direction of Wood Funeral Home East Side.
