Peggy (Jensen) Knox

Peggy Jensen Knox, 69, of Idaho Falls, passed away June 5, 2019, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.

Peggy was born December 13, 1949, in Rexburg, Idaho, to Lowell Harold Jensen and Arda Simmons Jensen.  She grew up and attended schools in Idaho Falls and graduated from Bonneville High School.  She also attended Brigham Young University where she earned her Bachelors Degree in Interior Design.

On January 28, 1972, she married Gregory Allan Knox in the Idaho Falls Temple. They welcomed a daughter, Inger Marie.  Peggy and Greg spent most of their married years in Los Angeles, California. For the last 13 years, Greg and Peggy spent their time living and teaching in China.

She was an active  member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Peggy was quite an artist and loved making jewelry. She loved nature, flowers and the beach. The most important thing to her was always family and they always came before anything else. She especially loved the time she was able to spend with her grandchildren.

Peggy is survived by her loving husband, Gregory Allan Knox of Idaho Falls, ID, daughter, Inger Marie (Frank) Murdock-Durkin of Hurricane, UT, sister, Darray Haight of Idaho Falls, ID, sister, Gail (Blair) Sautter of Idaho Falls, ID, brother, Gary (Kathi) Jensen of Howe, ID, brother, Michael  (Lisa) Jensen of Idaho Falls, ID; and 7 grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lowell and Arda Jensen, son in law, Marc Murdock, and sister in law, Nancy Harrison.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, June 14, 2019, at the St. Leon Ward Building, 6925 N. 15th E, due to the Coltman Ward being unavailable.  The family will visit with friends Friday from 10-10:45 am prior to services. Burial will be in the Ucon Cemetery.
