Peggy Brown

Peggy Jean Brown was only a couple weeks away from her 67th birthday when she was called to heaven by our Lord and Savior. She passed away on June 9th, 2018, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.

Peggy was born June 29, 1951, in Keokuk, Iowa, to Lawrence Otto and Wanna Rose Russell. In her younger years she grew up and attended school in Galesburg, Illinois. Later in her life she moved to Idaho Falls, Idaho, where she met her husband Lonnie Richard Brown to whom she has been married for the last 42 years and made a home for her and her family.

They celebrated their marriage and were united on September 24, 1976, in the city of Elko, Nevada. From this union three children were born, Thomas, Jessica, and Jeramiah. Along with these children she accepted her new stepson and his family and made them part of her loving family.

She and her family were the outdoors type where she loved hunting, fishing and was considered a real marksman as she shot and competed in hand gun silhouette competition. She enjoyed stock car racing with her husband and even competed as a driver and raced also. Later she and her husband took up drag racing as his health didn't allow him to race stock cars. In the winter months, she enjoyed cross stitching and quilting blankets for the grandkids and for future grandkids. She especially enjoyed her grandchildren and they were the love of her life and she tried to spend as much time as possible with them.

Peggy is survived by her loving husband Lonnie Brown and her children, Thomas Brown and his wife Teresa and their three children; Jeramiah Brown and his wife Misti and their four children; Jessica Brown and her significant other Steve Galasso and a total of five children; her stepson Scott Brown and his wife Michelle and their five children.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence and Wanna Russell.

Memorial services will be held from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. Saturday, June 23, 2018, at Hope Lutheran Church, 2071 12th Street.
